No. Not mine. Yours.
I have to say I'm absolutely flattered by how many people have visited this site and actually taken the time to download some of the music that's now available for FREE. The newly-released BLUE SKIES AHEAD has topped 250 downloads in just one day. That's HUGE and it means so much to me that people are actually stopping by and downloading. Thank you.
I did receive one email (through this site) asking if that song was some sort of loop. It isn't...really. The drum part is programmed to be simple, but there are subtle differences with each pass. The bass is NOT a synth. I actually played my Fender V and just got into the groove of the song. The guitar parts (there are four) were all played straight through. No overdubs. I used Guitar Rig 5 Pro to dial in a good sounding rig for the rhythm parts and used those same rigs to dial in the lead guitar parts (clean, clean, clean). The rest - piano, clav, organ, strings, percussion, mallets, shakers, etc. - are all found in AVID's Xpand2! instrument plugin. It's my go-to instrument plugin and I never seem to tire of the incredible selection of sounds found in that one plugin. The seagulls at the very end were recorded in Italy last year.
So, the gear used to record, mix and master Blue Skies Ahead were an American Fender Strat (the very one over on the PHOTOS page), an American Fender Precision V Bass, a Yamaha S90 ES synth workstation (MIDI only), AVID Pro Tools, the Apollo Twin X interface, a Glyph StudioRaid external hard drive, a Glyph Thunderbolt 3 Dock, Guitar Rig 5 Pro, and AIR Strike 2 for drums.
Again, thank you for the interest.
Take care. Be safe...
The update is this: I have been using the XViVE wireless system to record ALL guitars and basses. Seriously. For my set up it works beautifully. Wow. Many would tell you, "Jesus Shittin' Christ don't do that!" However, it works very, very well.
