Today's been a fairly busy planning day. The summer is right around the corner. Baseball games need to be attended and a little vacation time needs to be planned as well (although vacation around here means two days somewhere else). Along with the planning comes the usual circular thinking about my music career.

For the past six or seven years I've toyed with the idea of releasing THE DEVILS IN FIRST CLASS; a full return to rock. I've also struggled mightily with writing lyrics for those nine songs to be included on that album. Meanwhile, several things have bombarded me on a daily basis that, I think, warrant some note-taking and possibly even song treatments. But what genre? What vein? Tap it and find out...

I write this with great caution, but I believe simpler is better. And in my case, being in a band really ain't sumthin' I'm willing to do at 50. I'm not a baby-sitter and although I am fairly organized, I'd much rather worry about my headspace than someone else's.
